Brother Knights of Holy Redeemer Council in Pickering got together for our Tailgate, hosted at the home of Brother Paul Michalicka. On a sunny afternoon, members and friends filled the backyard for an easygoing get-together, with good food and even better company.
The grill was going all day, turning out sausages and burgers, and conversations went from the patio to the garden and back again. Old friends caught up, newer members got to know the council a little better, and there was plenty of laughter to go around.
Evenings like this are a reminder that fraternity is one of the pillars of the Knights of Columbus. The brotherhood we build around a backyard grill is the same brotherhood that carries us through our work for the parish and the wider community.
Our sincere thanks to Brother Paul and his family for opening their home and making everyone feel so welcome. We look forward to the next one!
